“I thought I’d write a quick note to express gratitude from both me and my mum for everyone who came to Muncaster last month, and to those who couldn’t make it but sent such nice messages. Thanks to everyone who made the (rather precarious!) walk up to the bench – it’s just up through the bluebell wood, and they were putting on a good show even in the damp. I’ve attached some photos of the day. Apologies for not being able to chat to everyone for as long as we wanted to – there were around fifty of us up there at one stage. It was fantastic to see so many old faces. Hopefully those who couldn’t make it will be able to get up there at some stage – ideally when it’s less muddy – the bench is along the Waberthwaite Crags footpath. We must send our appreciation to Muncaster for getting it up there; it must have been a big job! Finally, thanks to all those who sent direct or indirect messages, they were very kind.
